Fix & Seal All Purpose

Dolphin Fix & Seal All purpose is a high quality, neutral, elastic,1-component adhesive sealant based on Hybrid Polymer. Fix & Seal All Purpose is available only in Sausage Format.

Shelf life

12 months in unopened packing in cool and dry storage place at temperatures between
+5°C and +25°C.


Substrate Condition:
The surface must be rigid, clean, dry, free of dust and grease

Substrate Preparation:
Porous surfaces in water loaded applications should be primed with primer 150. Prepare
non-porous surfaces with a activator or cleaner. The surfaces should be degreased
before bonding them together. While producing plastics to bonding or sealing. For
optimum adhesion use of surface activator is recommended.

Substrate Types:
Dolphin Fix & Seal All Purpose has a good adhesion to following substrates: all usual
building substrates, concretes, aluminium, lacquered wood, steel, AlMgSi1, electrolytic
galvanized steel, AlCuMg1, flame galvanized steel, AlMg3, steel, ST1403, polystyrene,
polycarbonate (Makrolon®), PVC, ABS, Polyamide, PMMA, fiberglass reinforced epoxy,
Polyester. Dolphin Fix & seal All Purpose has no good adhesion or is not suitable for PR,
PP, PTFE (Teflon®) bituminous substrates, copper or copper containing materials such
as bronze and brass Bonding plastics like PMMA (e.g. Plexi®glass), polycarbonate (e.g.
Makrolon® or Lexan®) in stress loaded applications can give rise to stress cracking and
crazing in these substrates.
The use of Dolphin Fix & Seal All Purpose is not recommended in these applications. We
recommend a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every surface.

Application method:
With manual- orpneumatic caulking gun.

Clean with Surface Cleaner, immediately after use

With a soapy solution or Dolphin Finishing Solution before skinning.
Repair: With the same material

  • Dolphin Fix & Seal All-purpose may be overpainted with water based paints,
    however due to thelarge number of paints and varnishes available we strongly
    suggest a compatibility test before application.
  • The drying time of alkyd resin based paintsmay increase.
  • Do not use on natural stones like marble, granite,….(staining)
  • Dolphin Fix & seal All-purpose can be applied to a wide variety of substrates. Due
    to the fact thatspecific substrates such as plastics, like polycarbonate, etc. may
    differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, we recommend preliminary
    compatibility test.
  •  Dolphin Fix & seal All-purpose cannot be used as a glazingsealant.
  •  A total absence of UV can cause a colour change of the sealant
  • The sanitary formula should not replace regular cleaning of the joint, Excessive
    contamination, deposits or soap residues will stimulate the development fungi
  • When using different reactive joint sealants, the first joint sealant must be
    completely hardened before the next one is applied
  •  Not suitable for bonding aquariums
  • Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible
  • Dolphin Fix & Seal All Purpose has a good UV resistance but can discolour under
    extreme conditions or after long UV exposure
  • Discolouration due to chemicals, high, temperatures, UV radiation may occur
  • Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM,
    neoprene butyl, etc. is to be avoided since it can give rise to discolouration and
    loss of adhesion.
